Andy
Warhol “Popularity Prints”
5th Grade Art Stix / Colored Pencils
Students learned about the artist
Andy Warhol and his Pop Art warehouse he liked to call “The Factory.” Warhol
would mass produce images of popular subjects; often on the same canvas using
various color schemes. After practicing on a Marilyn Monroe Color Theory
worksheet, students were able to enhance their drawing skills by repeating the
image of their choice four times and implementing a different Color Theory for
each block to imitate but innovate Warhol’s signature style.
